He is. And I am so sad because I am absolutely allergic to anything GoT and I can't enjoy his gorgeousness as much as I want to because I can't bring myself to watch that series.

Why do you hate it so much? For all the shittiness in the series, the (mostly) awesome ladies really do save it.

AND YES OMG HE IS PERFECT

This is a simple question the answer to which is actually very long and elaborate and if I were to say the way I want to, it'd turn into a wall of text rant. Since it's almost 3 am I don't really have the energy to type it all up, so I'll put it in the shortest way I can.

Actually the women and the way the plot treats them is exactly what pisses me off to no end. I honestly don't find this series - tv and books - even remotely feminist-oriented and I can never figure out why people seem to view it that way, let alone praise the story for it. Also, I find its political intrigue unoriginal and juvenile and the shock jock approach to violence to be even more juvenile. And don't even get me started on Daenerys' Mightey Whitey vibes.

Have you read the books, tho? Because the HBO series is unfortunately run by dudebros who take any and every opportunity to dumb down the characters and take away just about everything that makes them original (within the fantasy genre). They especially do this to the female characters, which is a shame. I'm not saying Martin is some sort of feminist or anything. He's not, and his writing makes that clear. But he did create some really great characters who have a lot of depth to them. It just sucks that HBO threw a lot of that out for the sake of YAY VIOLENCE AND BOOBS!!1

I read two thirds of the first book then skimmed through the rest because I was terribly underimpressed exactly for the reasons mentioned above.
