X Factor's Christopher Maloney has been accused of trying to strangle a fellow entertainer while working on a cruise ship several years ago. Gulp.
Cabaret singer Janette Galbraith told the Sunday Mirror that Chris 'lunged' at her - claiming that he became enraged during in an argument on the ship in 2005.
"We got into a row and everything came spilling out," she said. "I gave him a few home truths about what the other singers and dancers really thought of him. I told him that no-one liked him.
"Suddenly he flipped. His face totally changed. It was like he was someone else. His eyes started to burn red and he began shouting.
"He lunged towards me and grabbed me around the throat. I screamed and tried to get him off.
"Somehow I managed to get loose and ran out of the cabin, crying. I cried for hours that night."
CHRIST that's some serious stuff.
There's been no comment from Chris regarding the accusations so far, but a spokesman did release a statement which said that: "Chris denies the allegations."

people who seem genuinely nice (like dermot, louis, ella, etc) seem to really hate him so that says a lot as well

Sick of all this backlash against Christopher tbh, if the judges don't want an over to win they should have scraped the category. It just seems like they are trying every trick in the book to get rid of him but things like this will only make his fans vote for him more.
Tulisa and Louis laughing during his performance last night was downright rude.
And I still don't get what was so rude about his VT. Ella leaving was not his fault, if people wanted her to stay they should have voted more. Simple as.
No one on the show likes him. You'd assume there's a reason for that.
Its obvious that the producers are panicking because he's been topping the votes every week and they don't want him to win. Which makes you wonder why they bothered to put him through in the first place.
The public like him and so did the judges if you rewatch his first audition. I personally didn't like him at first but the way the judges/producers are treating him now I really do hope he wins.
And if the judges gave him proper critique and not laughed in his face I'm sure he would have ran his course weeks ago. The public love an underdog and so they will continue to vote for him. Which makes Simon Cowell all the more richer.
and Carly was #1 this week and not Tate, Christopher was #1 EVERY WEEK smh
