Why is Read A Book on there twice?

I stayed in yesterday, just like I wanted. It was my mom's birthday, so I gave her her present (two new Hello Kitty travel cups... she's into Hello Kitty immensely at the moment, so, yeah). I spent a lot of time playing my Wii U, SUper Mario Brothers U to be precise.

Then my aunt showed up with her son, her daughter-in-law and her granddaughter while my parents were out eating for mom's birthday, so I had to divert from playing the Wii U to entertain them. Sad. Came back, played some more, turned on Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale for the first time, quickly concluded that Smash Brothers is SO much better (though All-Stars is fun, don't get me wrong, it's just not as fun), fell asleep.

Pondering getting some more video games... I kinda want Ninja Gaiden for Wii U, and I'm PONDERING Zombie U, even though I don't like Survival Horror games, and that Square Enix game about the Asian crime stuff, Sleeping Dogs or whatever. I dunno.

joaniemaloney 25th-Nov-2012 02:44 am (UTC)

I went to see Red Dawn with a friend of mine. We're in college, and everyone else in the theater was either a middle school boy or a parent chaperoning a group of middle school boys. We gave up halfway through and just started cracking up at how hilariously bad it was. We didn't even bother trying to be quiet.

Ngl, though, Josh Hutcherson was great. The other Josh sucked.

Agree with this entire comment.

Josh Peck is entirely too dramatic.

I really want to see Life of Pi
flawlessglitch 25th-Nov-2012 02:51 am (UTC)
I saw Silver Linings Playbook this afternoon.

I'm not sure why everyone's talking an Oscar for Jennifer Lawrence for it. She was okay but...Bradley Cooper was outstanding. Hands down best part of the movie. Besides Robert De Niro but that's to be expected.
allysouu 25th-Nov-2012 02:53 am (UTC)
Yeah I wasn't as impressed by her either and I thought she handled the comedic elements much better than the dramatic.
And Bradley Cooper really impressed me.
lostinshalott 25th-Nov-2012 03:52 am (UTC)
yeah that's what I thought
theblackwidow 25th-Nov-2012 02:52 am (UTC)

I saw Skyfall and it was amazing!

btw, what to do you say when you tell someone historical facts when they quote on the bible about history and they tell you, "keep your facts to yourself!" My mom said this too me today, fml.
sugarcrawler 25th-Nov-2012 02:57 am (UTC)

I get that sometimes when I say I wanna interpret things in a historical context and my dad asks me to "see things in a biblical context too". Idk man, I just feel you right now...
jamiecullum 25th-Nov-2012 02:54 am (UTC)
Saw Argo this morning, and so glad I did. Such a great movie. Last night I watched Stand By Me for the first time. I don't know why it took me this long to see it.
joaniemaloney 25th-Nov-2012 02:59 am (UTC)
aw, that's awesome. I only saw Stand By Me this year and then I made my brother watch it with me when it was on TV. ;D
jamiecullum 25th-Nov-2012 03:04 am (UTC)
It was a really great basic movie, and the music was great. It made me miss movies like that with kids experiencing adult situations or kid movies like The Goonies and Sandlot.
notoriousreign 25th-Nov-2012 05:12 am (UTC)
I saw Argo during Halloween and weirdly enough, have found myself wanting to see it again. What a crazy movie. xD
theblackwidow 25th-Nov-2012 02:55 am (UTC)

sandstorm 25th-Nov-2012 02:55 am (UTC)
I'm looking at a documentary about the South.

A football player mentioned how a former Klansman apologized for 'everything' after seeing him play.I'm not as irritated as I thought I would be.
marywebgirl 25th-Nov-2012 03:18 am (UTC)
If you're interested in the modern South in general Confederates in the Attic is an amazing book.
