Brawl between Aubry and Martinez captured on cameras

Security cameras captured much of the action in the brutal fight between Gabriel Aubry and Olivier Martinez, a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

The video hasn't yet been turned over to LAPD but Gabriel Aubry is anxious for that to happen fast.

Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend and the father of her child has told pals the video will prove Olivier Martinez started the brawl, and he only acted in self defense.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Aubry and Halle's fiancé Martinez got into a knock-down, drag-out fight Thanksgiving morning.

Aubry was dropping his and Halle's daughter, Nahla, off to spend Thanksgiving with her mother when the two men got into it.

"Officers responded to a a radio call at about 10 am," the LAPD Hollywood Division Watch Commander told us.

After cops broke up the brawl, Aubry was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He reportedly suffered a broken rib and cuts to his face, was treated and released to the police. Martinez also ended up going to the hospital with a possible broken hand.

Aubry was later booked for misdemeanor battery, and was released after posting bond.

Before the evening was over, Halle and Olivier were seen going to a friend's home where it is believed they spent the night with Nahla.

As expected, Gabriel has his own version of the story. It sucks that the fighting in courts is going to continue (poor Nahla!), but if this is true, it's good to hear that the whole thing was captured on cameras and there's some substantial evidence of what happened and not just biased reports.

It honestly amazes me that adults have fist fights. I can't even imagine what it would take for me to get into a physical altercation at this point in my life. IDK what to do with people.

It's not shocking to me, people have their breaking point.

The only thing about this that shocks me, is why Oliver was who he had to hand his daughter to. Who in the fresh hell orchestrated that?
sweet_honesty 24th-Nov-2012 03:34 pm (UTC)
Probably Halle, tbh.

IKR

Olivier should've had nothing to do with the hand off situation. Or any situation involving Nahla for that matter. It's not his kid.

He should NOT be involved in any of this imo. She's simply not his daughter.

Some 50 year old lady tried to fight me at Walmart the other day. Like, actively seeking out a fight. I actually stepped in because she was trying to fight my fiance. I told her to stop or I'd get security and she stepped up to me and started raising her fists and shit. All out, nose to nose this bitch was yelling at me. I kept stepping back and I ended up backed into the other people in line. Worst part was she had her fucking grandkid with her.

I couldn't fucking believe it. I'm 21 and can't imagine starting a fight (although, I've been in fights recently but out of self defense). Idk. If she had hit me or pushed me idek if I would have done anything. Depends on how physical.

Wow, that sucks. I don't know what I would have done either in your situation, because you should be able to defend yourself, but on the other hand it's a 50 year old (woman even if she's a raging asshole) and there's her grandkid watching..
theonlykow 24th-Nov-2012 05:48 pm (UTC)
Agreed. People acting a damn fool always amazes me. I'd need to be defending myself to get physical, and even then it wouldn't be a fight, it would be me fleeing, haha. FLIGHT OR FLIGHT, PLEASE.

go to a hockey game. there are always fist fights in the crowd.

I don't know; if my ex's fiance tried to interfere with my relationship with my kid, I would lose my shit. I would probably just scream profanities instead of getting physical, but that would definitely push me past my breaking point.
we_eat_coldcuts 24th-Nov-2012 10:59 pm (UTC)
And what exactly would fighting him solve? It just shows that you have poor conflict resolution skills, and obviously there is a reason that he's in the situation that he is in.

my first job, my boss at the time got into a fist fight with a visiting manager over a printer. i just watched them as they collapsed over each other, punching, on top of my own desk. they were both middle aged!
