My grandpa was out of it enough to wish everyone a Happy New Year so 10 minutes later, we all had a toast and did the same thing

Ate w/ my dad at a chinese restaurant instead of my mom and step dad's boring, ignorant family! Pretty awesome, I'd say!

it was a normal day haha, which made it awesome. i smoked a lot of weed and ate whatever i wanted (i fucking hate turkey and stuffing so i made pizza instead), i had no family shit to do since i live far away from everyone i am related to, which makes me VERY thankful. i know this may sound bitter and sad but really it's just fine. i also had to work today allllllll day

The first major holiday since my husband passed away. I hosted his family because I am spending Christmas with mine. It went well and everyone helped me clean up before they left. No one fought and everyone liked the eats. So it was good,so to speak.

Fell down the stairs drunk and i can barely walk nao

I worked and slept through most of it, but the food was bangin'.

Lame. Yesterday was 2 months to the day that my dad killed himself, and the first time my mom and saw my brother since she kicked him out a couple weeks ago. I'm not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food so I ate a lot of mashed potatoes and some pie and went home early bc I was nhf being around people esp when they think they're so funny with their racist jokes and shit. But it wasn't bad, nobody cried.

My thanksgiving was pretty good. We used to have thanksgiving and christmas at my parent's house but my mom would get really stressed out about having to cook everything, so we have thanksgiving at my sister's house now. My aunt, uncle and cousin didn't want to drive all the way out to my sister's house so they didn't come. Of course someone brought up Obama at the dinner table and there was a huge discussion about whether or not Obama is Muslim. I went and took my plate and sat at the kid's table. We drew names for secret santa and no one liked who they picked the first time around so we put the names back in a cup and drew them again.

The potatoes and apple pie were really good.

Boring as hell. It was just my mom and brother this Thanksgiving, and my brother and I don't like Thanksgiving food, so we didn't even have Thanksgiving dinner.

Loud since my five year-old cousin never runs out of batteries. LORD if I have kids, they best be laid back.

Weird. I guess. I hung out by myself, my boyfriend, soon to be ex-boyfriend b/c we're breaking up....went to his families for Thanksgiving and I didn't go, he asked me if I wanted but I just said it would be too weird. I asked if he wanted to take my little dog with him instead, his parents have watched her many times and his niece loves the dog and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be her last time seeing my pup...and I thought having a little dog running around would help distract from the awkward "Why wasn't E able to come?" conversation. Anyway, long story. So I had a thanksgiving meal from Whole Foods on video chat with my friend. It was a great day, honestly. A quiet, easy day.

Tomorrow I'm going to see my fam so I'm sure my tune will change soon enough!

It was really good for me. It was nice to be around my grandma, dad, brothers, husband and daughter. I felt trapped in since being diagnosed with cancer and having a couple extra people around just made me feel happier than I have felt in the last two months. Plus the food was really good. I just regret not being able to help out much this year.

we went out to another family's thanksgivings (as first-gen immigrants, we have no relatives here :c) and idk it was just awkward for me the entire time but the food was delicious and i just watched football and drank wine.

It was pretty decent, aside from my crazy aunt!

congrats! I need a new something soon. my laptops overheats all the time. I'm opposed to mac's though, we just don't click and they're too expensive for me. So, I'm thinking an android tablet or something. Trying to save up some cash and wait it out for a good after Christmas deal.

The best driving advice I ever got was from my dad before I took my test:

"Drive how you need to drive to make yourself comfortable. If that means going under the speed limit, do it. You will never see these people again."

The last part always stuck with me. I don't feel guilty for going slow or driving cautiously (I'm a VERY nervous driver) because its safer for me...and I'll never see them again.

I had this problem, and a competent driving instructor was a really great investment.

Not only does completing a professional course get a sizeable discount from insurance companies, but having someone who taught driving for a living (as opposed to a friend or relative who thinks of themselves as decent drivers) was really reassuring.

In regards to driving, I don't know what to really tell you. It is what it is. You can do it, you can learn, that won't be a problem. And, once you get into the groove of things, you'll see how much control you do have. I'm afraid of everything. I'm afraid of walking outside and bumping into a neighbor sometimes, I'm crazy. hah. But, driving? I'm never scared when I'm driving. *does not apply when someone else is driving lol
