16 Stars Who Have Taken A Stand Against Hollywood's Standard Of Beauty.

This seems more like curvy women who like their bodies list than anything else but okay.

Anyway this reminds me of when Tyra wore a fat suit to find out what it was like. She is so self-absorbed.

All gorgeous women. I can't believe Tyra Banks and Rosario Dawson and Liv Tyler get shit for their body shape. THEY ARE SUPER-THIN, WTF. I mean, I look at myself and see that "yeah, THIS is fat" but then I look at them and they're beautiful and-- what's the problem with people. They seriously need to stop judging girls based on their shape. If I was naturally thin I'd be healthy and that's what matters and nobody should have the right to judge me for it. Same with being plus-sized (in my case, over-weigh, but fuck it, I wouldn't give up all the delicious food I have for a hot body, since beauty goes away anyway in the end lol)

Well apparently when it's talk of trans people and different cultures, it's fun and games; but when it's weight, it's all serious.
saltireflower 23rd-Nov-2012 11:43 pm (UTC)
Wait a minute, aren't you the same person who has been criticizing people for pointing out problematic stuff? Or is it only a problem if people bring up a topic that personally affects YOU?
aubade_saudade 23rd-Nov-2012 11:50 pm (UTC)

I don't understand the point of this.Every woman has her body shape and peculiarities, beauty is not a matter of weight. I mean look at January Jones and Christina Hendricks they are both gorgeous only they've a totally different shape. You can't expect a 5'10 woman to be a size 2, it's just unhealthy. I've never had weight issues my whole life being 5'8' and a size 4 still I find all this fuss on people's weight humiliating we are talking about human beings not cows...
Sorry if I've butchered english I am Italian bear me.

that jlaw quote was one of the first things that made me side-eye her (and the stuff she said about ~not being thin~ for hunger games)

lmao i'm so sick of weight posts
if you're gonna show women who are **~*~~*~beautiful~~*~*~*~*~ despite fitting a standard*!*~*~*~ at least include a wider range of body types/races
ugly_jacket 23rd-Nov-2012 11:35 pm (UTC)
some of these are fucking bs, especially weight watchers spokesperson jessica simpson

I guess I can relate to what kelly says most. For many women weight simply fluctuates unless you're on a strict diet/exercise regimen. Some months my tummy is flat enough for me to slip into a swimsuit without blushing and other times it looks like I just attended a kegger...and was the only one who showed up. Mmm microbrew.
purpleplague 24th-Nov-2012 12:05 am (UTC)
mine fluctuates like that from morning to night
yay, bloating from food intolerances & ibs
