Noel Gallagher: 'Reform Oasis? Only when I'm skint'

Noel Gallagher has spelled out what it would take for an Oasis reunion to happen – he'd need to be stony broke.

The High Flying Birds man made the comments on Channel 4's Chatty Man, where he told host Alan Carr:What would it take? It would take Liam or myself to be very skint, and I know for a fact that ain't gonna happen. So other than that, I can't see it.The singer also spoke about how he will approach talking to his children about drugs, admitting that it would be rich for him to preach abstinence given his well-documented history with cigarettes and alcohol – and more. Gallagher said he was "dreading" his children's teenage years as he's in no position to lecture them, so would instead say, "Everything in moderation, lads. And just remember: you will never be as cool as your dad. Remember that."

Earlier this week, The Who's Roger Daltrey told NME that Noel Gallagher is set to curate next year's Concerts For Teenage Cancer Trust.

The gigs, which Daltrey founded in 2000, have been staged every year by the charity's patron at London's Royal Albert Hall. Daltrey will pass the baton on to the ex-Oasis chief in 2013 to allow him to concentrate on touring. Gallagher has performed a series of solo gigs at the venue for the charity over the years. His brother Liam's band Beady Eye played in 2011.

Ray and Dave Davies (of The Kinks) had a fraternal feud... before it was cool.

Honestly, media-hyped sibling rivalry is so passé...
