Taylor Swift: "Every girl's dream is to find a bad boy"

Taylor Swift has revealed that she thinks every girl wants a bad boy and has admitted she falls in love too quickly.

The country singer spoke of her love for rebels in an interview with Parade magazine.

The Christmas cover girl said: "There's a really interesting charisma involved. They usually have a lot to say, and even if they don't, they know how to look at you to say it all. I think every girl's dream is to find a bad boy at the right time, when he wants to not be bad anymore."

According to reports, Swift has split from boyfriend Connor Kennedy, 18, and has now been linked to One Direction star Harry Styles.

The 22-year-old has a list of famous ex-boyfriends that include Taylor Lautner, Zac Efron, John Mayer and one of the Jonas brothers.

Speaking about her exes, Swift said: "I don't think there's an option for me to fall in love slowly, or at medium speed. I either do or I don't. I don't think it through, really, which is a good thing and a bad thing. You don't look before you leap, which is like, 'Yay, this is awesome! Let's not think twice!' And then you're like, 'We used to be flying. Now we're falling. What's happening?'"

The Grammy-winning singer will be joined by British popstar Ed Sheeran on her upcoming US tour in 2013.

What a jam tbh, I loved the shoulder dance.

idk what ppl exactly mean with "bad boy", I think different people have different ideas of what that constitutes. If we're talking angsty, black-wearing guitarrist, count me out. Same with womanizers. But I do like confident men who are accomplished and powerful. They need to be able to keep up with me. Doesn't mean we can't treat each other nicely.
soavantgarde 22nd-Nov-2012 05:33 pm (UTC)
but why do u associate confident and successful with "bad"?

idg why so many people in this thread are saying that

if you're confident and accomplished and you're nice you're...not a nice guy?
ashtraysoul 22nd-Nov-2012 05:42 pm (UTC)
I don't, I was trying to say that someone can be nice and treat you well while having the attributes that I think some people associate with the therm "bad guy"
squirrels_oh_no 22nd-Nov-2012 04:55 pm (UTC)
And this is why 95% of YA books have asshole love interests that create bad role models for 13 year old girls who think they should aspire to have a boyfriend that stalks and controls them.

"bad boys" are good to like, bone once or twice and then get rid of, but i don't want a super super nice guy either because they bore me
someone who is as emotionally detached as me but without the "bad boy" stigma plz
inthedirtyrain 22nd-Nov-2012 06:15 pm (UTC)
Same with me but with girls. I'm so emotionally detached.

It's funny, I can't really relate to the whole 'Lesbian relationships are insane and so emotional' stereotype because I'm so emotionally detached. Not in a 'bad boy' kind of way. I guess I just don't ~have a lot of feelings~ lol.

Also, her definition of a bad boy going good is probably the guy with one tattoo she meets at Waffle House at 3am after a concert on the road. He complains about hating his job at CVS Pharmacy and how he needs to get a real job and go somewhere, all while expressing bad boy angst in his Social Distortion t-shirt and puffing on a Newport 100.
