Wendy Williams sat down with BET.com's Clay Cane to dish on her biopic, the time Halle Berry tapped her breast, and her love for the gays, along with the source of her signature catchphrase.
"First of all, you have to say it like a drag queen," Williams told Cane. According to Williams, the catchphrase came about from her stint on a Philadelphia radio morning show, when a cohost would affect the voice of a gay character named Shantay. None of the other hosts wanted to engage with Shantay, so Williams stepped up with a sassy, "Hey. Shantay, how you doin'?"
"So now it's become my official catchphrase of the show," said Williams, "because what I found through the years, since the beginning of 'How you doin', is that it makes everybody laugh and smile, and it breaks up the room."
Williams also talks about the now-shelved biopic she and her husband began.

lmaoooooooo I'm glad people are finally saying this.
Always wanna "be Black" until someone says something then that White girl privilege snaps them back into reality and then they start complaining about ~reverse racism~.
And don't even get me started on the people treating Drag Queens like they are just a gimmick. ugh
Like a pack of wolves!! lol.
*Don't mean to complain, I just need to get this out my system lol.
Awww. I didn't even know that post was a thing. Had I seen your comment, I would have defended you. <3
I'm just glad this "straight cis White girls think it's cute to talk Black/gay/drag" shit is being called out, regardless.
The whole thing started some time around 2009 when ONTD discovered the word "stan" (3 years late). Since then its been overkill.
The white girl shade tumblr is now my favorite thing lol
The worst is dealing with it offline. White girls who see me and immediately start speaking in slang like I don't understand proper fucking English.
True story: got my hair braided last week and went to work the next day. My coworker goes "oooh gorl, you done got yo hair did! dem braids lookin fierce, booboo!"
ugh So pissed. I wanted to slap the White off her.
i need to cut back on my "dem"s tbh, i'm not white but i'm also not black lol.
