Mayim Bialik and husband to divorce

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to “Irreconcilable Differences.”

Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly.

The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.

The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain.

We will be ok.

I know. :[ It is really sad. And even though it goes completely against nature (or so I've heard), the relationship between the couple needs to take priority...not the physical needs or even amount of love, but the relationship itself, or you're totally screwed. This is what I've heard from successful couples with kids, anyway, and I believe it 100%.

For NaNoWriMo this year, I really wanted to write a fictional, future-set book about a kid growing up in a society where attachment parenting has kind of spiraled out of control to the point where there are no real leaders and the U.S. is going to shit...but I'm not ready yet. :[ I only have a theme...no story, characters, etc. Bleh.

Yay thanks bb. :o) Motivates me more to write it, lol. I need to start outlining and doing some real brainstorming.
