Some gifs for your convenience

She basically says that her cat (female) has such masculine energy and they just call her Chaz Bono

I feel like that's a pretty popular mindset since whenever I'm out with my bb girl maltese people always say "Awww, what's his name?" And I'm like, "HER name is " and then they get the point, lol.

So true. We've had our dog for like, 6 years, and my brother still calls her "he."

Yeah, I've had the kitty in my icon (male) for 10 1/2 years and my sister still calls him a "she."

BTW: Rachel Maddow is a goddess! :)

Yes she is, boo, yes she is.

I continually ask why the hell it took me until THIS YEAR before I started watching her. Seriously. Did you see tonight's episode? (Or maybe last night's -- I watched them both earlier.) She was adorably giddy over "Barack O'Fraudo" the latest scheme of crazy from the unskewedpolls.com guy. It was awesome.

Damn, I gotta make me a Rachel icon. I keep planning to, but then forget. Grr.

I got into her in 2008, but she gets so giddy over election years I never miss her then, I do off and on during the down season. lol

was she around a boy

my female dog started doing it after we got the male

We got a boy when she was 3+, but she's been doing it since she was a bb. Like, 4 months old. Boys don't even lift their legs at that age. Lol. Idk, maybe she's just weird.

I get that all the time on the street with my (female) dog. It's always "what's his name?".
ivysaur 21st-Nov-2012 06:11 am (UTC)
I always refer to animals as "it" if I don't know the gender, because it always bugged me if people got the gender of my pets wrong for some inexplicable reason. It also bugs me that most animals in general are assumed to be male.

Same. I always ask if it's a boy or girl, I work at a pet store so I do my best to never assume.
antique_faery 21st-Nov-2012 03:59 pm (UTC)
Same. I'm always asking "what's its name" because you can't always tell.
