The subjects are rehearsed but not the entire interview, word for word. Especially with Ellen, people love having their clients do her show because Ellen is all about being positive and funny and doesn't bring up personal things without permission beforehand so it's funny to see her fuck THIS up of all interviews.

this latest gaffe bothers me a lot more than her other recent fuck-up. i mean i know she's said stupid stuff recently but the whole chaz bono thing is just....argh. idk why it bothers me more than the others, maybe because it sounded so rehearsed, so it wasn't some off-the-cuff thing that she just blurted out without thinking. (not that that would have made it okay. but it being a planned story is the icing on top of the fail-cake.)

pr training is teaching people not to say something offensive even if they're thinking it/believe it.
