I found the whole situation with Erykah bizarre. She called her sister in to do scenes she was not comfortable with, and then complained about the end product. I love Ms. Badu, but if you're telling me to do some crazy shit for your music video, I'm not calling my experimental sister to do it for me, esp. if I find the direction of the video questionable from the get-go. He was an ass though for not apologizing.
