I am dreading Thanksgiving this year. I'm flying up to South Carolina to visit my father's uber-conservative relatives and they are so butthurt over Obama winning. 2008 left me in tears.

Do what I would do and push their buttons as much as you can. Tell them you were going to invite your unemployed, welfare-receiving, same-sex, hispanic, immigrant lover to dinner but they were too busy turning orphans gay to attend. Might as well have some fun with it.

Between that and smuggling their entire family and drugs across the border, there's just no time for Thanksgiving. Besides, it's not like they speak english anyway.

My sister's husband and his dad and hardcore Republicans, so it's always nice when we get together around the dinner table hear how evil Obama is and how liberals are anti-American and ruining the country.
