unfortunately that christina died when bionic was made. tbh, she was going through vocal training earlier in the year and she sounded like she was making legitimate progress, but idk, she seems to think the screeching and overdoing it shows off her vocal ability more when in reality, its the opposite.
i have to disagree, i think her voice on fallon was strong, but she went flat several times while trying to find the notes to reach in the chorus. gurl just overdoes it too much, you have to admit.
I love her vocal acrobatics. That's what I loved about Mariah Carey during the 90's. She could go from Mahalia Jackson to soulful Gladys Knight in seconds.
I tend to like fuller soulful voices and is probably why I don't mind the runs and the vocal techniques she uses.

Xtina is her prime(1999-2000) is nothing compared to Mariah's prime (1990-2005) btw. Besides, without even needing to sing, Mariah's legacy alone slays. Your flop could never.
I think the quality of her voice went down the moment she started working with Linda Perry and picked up bad habits from her. She was in top form during Mi Reflejo but went downhill afterwards.
she sounded amazing singing the prayer a few months ago. she's human, so she'll have great performances, and not so great ones. her voice is hardly lost.
the thing is, the prayer was during her professional vocal training last year (or this year? lol what is time). but i think she left her coach so oops. i don't think her voice is lost, but she's depending too much on screechy melisma when she should just be more natural.
ugh ita. i think ultimately she needs to do sthing to rehab her voice. i can't bear to think of wut she might sound like in 3 years if she keeps going on like this ;-;
