I don't know about all this.. I've watched this series from the start and it tries way too hard. It lost me from Belfast on, I think. I'm still watching, but really only for Gemma.

Jax is just brad pitt in a leather waist coat. I just don't buy it anymore.

I think I'm the white rhino here, but I like this season. I definitely see how what came before naturally progressed into this. I'm liking Gemma's downfall, the dilemmas that a few of the characters are facing are really compelling to me, and Jax is behaving pretty believably as someone who is foremost a president of a criminal organization, but who is also a smart guy who still has a tiny bit of a conscience. I mean, he's not gonna fix shit with a group hug. He's got to be brutal or he might as well be an intern on Grey's Anatomy or something. If he's too soft for you, try Boardwalk Empire. If he is too harsh, idk, Vegas is on at the same time, they've got some CBS-ified, gentleman criminals.

Count me in on LOVING this season as well. I think my favorite since 2. Fuck the haters, I'm all over it :D

I feel like this show has been going in circles for seasons now. They keep regurgitating the same old themes and conflicts now, and I feel like none of it is going anywhere. Clay being evil and needing his comeuppance, Jax wanting to get away from the club, Tara changing/compromising her morals for the love of Jax/etc. I mean it's all a realistic way for things to play out, but every season now it's just the same old thing, and nothing is progressing or getting resolved or anything. Sure, more characters are dying, and dramatic things are happening, but it feels off for some reason.
