Despite what was said about Britpop - they have a point. I'm willing to bet that anyone here who says "bitter much?" is under 25. Depeche Mode completely changed the face of music, and opened up a genre for so many of the popular bands now (i.e. Muse). All of the electronic beeps and bops you all love in your Rihanna songs wouldn't be there if DM hadn't ushered in electronic music and synth.
