Mary Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy out and about.

Mary-Kate Olsen may be pint-sized, but her love for beau Olivier Sarkozy is hardly miniscule.

One week after their basketball game PDA fest, the 26-year-old fashion designer and her 42-year-old investment banker beau headed out to a lunch together in NYC Sat., Nov. 17.

Clad in all black, Olsen puffed on a cigarette as she walked through the Big Apple's East Village 'hood with her much-taller -- and much-older -- man.

The couple of half a year, who began nesting together in a $6.25 million townhouse after just three months together, are head-over-heels for one another, an insider insists.

"They are madly in love," the source tells Us Weekly.

Since they first went public together, their sixteen-year age gap has drawn plenty of criticism. Olsen, for her part, shrugs off the jibes, and insists she's not going to let other people's perceptions of her relationship get in the way of her happiness.

"Everyone has an opinion," she told WSJ. Magazine. "I find it's better to focus on what's in front of you."

ahhh so she never really had a huge father figure. this makes so much sense. he also must be hung like a horse.

I think they were raised more by the cast and crew of full house and then their dual star company than their parents. I think both were equally busy and uninvolved in their lives. I doubt it's daddy issues, specifically.

I think it's actually the opposite of that. I always remember reading about how their mom was the opposite of a stage mom and was really focused on them having the most normal lives they could. I remember them saying they had allowances until they were like 15 or 16 or something

Allowances and stuff have nothing to do with it, I mean that their parents were busy, they had an appointed guardian when they were on set, etc. I don't think she had any more daddy issues because their parents divorced than someone whose parents stayed together, is my point. They had other siblings that needed parents and didn't grow up on sets, it wasn't the family business. I just don't understand the leap from the parents splitting up 20 years ago to her having daddy issues.

idk

both twins seem, wise/mature/older than their years due to their upbringing.
idk if it's daddy issues, she's dated other guys similar in age.

i admittedly haven't followed them closely by any means, but ia - i've always gotten the vibe from them that they matured much more rapidly than "usual," even more so than other kids who grew up in the industry. i can see why someone that much older with an understanding of money, etc would be appealing to her. tbh i think if she weren't so tiny people would find it less jarring

in my experience boning guys with large foreheads, it's not the case, sorry 2 say.

Yeah I don't think they have the best relationship with their dad and his new family
kurtvonnegut 19th-Nov-2012 09:06 pm (UTC)
having divorced parents =\= not having a father figure

idk they always seemed closer to their dad when they were younger, I never remember reading much about their mother. Plus I remember at the New York Minute premiere her two half siblings/father were there.
