ONTD hates this season? I was behind so idk the consensus but its getting great reviews elsewhere.
I love this season bc its a gamechanger which this show badly needed. It feels the opposite of predictable rn and I never know where its going next. Love it tbh.
From the posts I've seen, most people love it. It's just the last 2 episodes have slightly lost steam but it's still one of the best seasons in a while, for sure.
Oh good. :) I haven't watched last night's but the Hannah episodes tend to be weak as fuck. It feels so DONE before (Lila, Lumen) whereas all the other elements are new and intriguing so that particular storyline is out of place imo.
ARE YOU ME? lol but seriously, I agree with everything you said. I LOVED the idea of Hannah up until she and Dexter had sex; I adored the cat and mouse thing she had with Dexter. Slight sexual tension, but she was a clever one and stayed 2 steps ahead. But then they boned and she got all open, and as you said, this is like the third time Dexter felt ~free~ with a woman about the Dark Passenger. I liked A LOT of what they were doing before they added that romantic element.
But yes, Isaak is a total dream villain this season, and I'm actually really excited that LaGuerta is going to find out about Dexter. And Deb- she's the motherfucking QUEEN and Jennifer deserves all the awards.
Yep and I think the writers get on this track of trying to show us Dexter is learning how to love, but, like, we get it already, it doesn't need to be shown to us a third time (fourth if you count Deb, which you probably should). Its stale at this point. So yeah I completely agree with you as well lol.
Isaak is the best because he's actually a step ahead of Dexter and seems to be his intellectual match, and his physical superior. I almost wish this could be Dexter's last season because I can't see a better villain ever happening and there's no more to be revealed because Deb already knows the truth.
I could see another season of Miami Metro finally finding out the truth (maybe LaGuerta's reveal will be saved for next season idk) and that might work, but I really do think this should have been the last.
Deb is the bomb, she's the best part of the show after MCH's consistently good performance and her cursing is pretty much me IRL so I relate.
Minus Incesticide I thought last night's episode was terrific. Even the writing was top notch. Dexter's monologue usually makes me cringe because of how cheesy it sometimes is, but the Argentina quote was very emotionally resonant, I thought.
i like hannah/dexter together for purely selfish reasons tbh. also the whole "sociopaths in love" thing even though it goes against the basic concept of sociopathy.
I really like Hannah/them together. *kanye shrug*
