Justin Bieber Starts American Music Awards Off On Bratty Note


Justin Bieber took home the first award of the night at the 40th annual American Music Awards--Favorite Male Pop/Rock Artist--but instead of his usual positivity, he set a rather bratty tone for the remainder of the evening.

Instead of leading off with the usual accolades (you know: God, parents, hard-working staff, that sort of thing), Bieber chose the rubbing-in route for his thank-you speech. "This is for all the haters who thought I'd be around for 1, 2 years," he announced, adding, "I feel like I'm gonna be here for a very long time."

This is an acoustic rendition of his most recent (and most successful to date) single, As Long As You Love Me. His most recent album is really solid imo, and I'm saying that as someone who loves good pop music, not as a stan.

I'm gonna give it to you straight, he's nothing but more prepackaged pop crap. The only thing special about him is his youthful lesbian looks and the fact he tries to be a white thug with attitude. His career is the equivalent of listening to NSYNC while watching Rachel Maddow.

yeah, ia. he seems pretty deluded. those instagram pix of him showing off his "muscles" may have seemed like a joke but when you see him walking around in wifebeaters all the time it's pretty clear he thinks he has guns.

I didn't find it that douchey??? Like at all. A) he just had a breakup so he's probably feeling more criticized than ever and b) i think his confidence that he is going to be the best is what will set him apart from other teen acts in the long run because he works so hard

This is relevant to everyone else that says they have haters, but he really does have an army of 25-40 year old men hating him like its their job. I'm pretty sure he has as many obsessive haters as he does fans.

lol seeing as in the past month he's had dedicated haters organize a campaign to attempt to convince his fans to shave their heads, an attempt to boost PSY's Gangnam Style to 100 billion views on Youtube just to cut the Baby video off from the title, and a week of rumors and shit-stirring over his relationship troubles with Selena...I didn't think his comment came off badly in-context, but either way it's not really irrelevant.
