Yea, I read that piece before too. I'm kind of in the middle with it all. While I think that the Korean blogger's POV is totally valid, I found his writing rather dismissive of analysis of pop-culture, which is kind of my non-day-job life blood. I would have liked to see an analysis the depths of the Atlantic article by a Korean journalist for sure, but I think that studying it in depth has a place alongside the AaK's analysis of K-Pop in the American music market.
Then again, I would do cultural analysis on Black Eyed Peas songs, so what do I know?
