Kristen Stewart Still Feels Guilty For Cheating On Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have paraded their reconciled relationship all over the red carpet at the premieres of "Breaking Dawn: Part 2," but their relationship isn't quite back to normal.

Stewart admitted to cheating on Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, but the 26-year-old actor found it in his heart to forgive her. The pair reunited in September thanks to her endless apologizing, but trust still remains an issue for the couple, reports Us Weekly.

"He's never going to forget what she did, but he has forgiven her. Almost losing him was a wake-up call for Kristen. And Rob doesn't want to be angry anymore. They want to move forward," a friend of Pattinson's told the magazine, and added that their romance is real since neither are good enough actors to fake it for their "Twilight" press tour.

Though the two are working on repairing their relationship, the source reveals that Stewart "still feels guilty" for cheating, and knows what the scandal has done to her already contentious public image.

"She still thinks the world hates her. It's hard to resume a relationship after something like that," an insider told the magazine.

But if the 22-year-old actress thinks she's hated, she's done a great job putting on a brave (and often uncharacteristically charming) face for the cameras. During a recent interview with Conan O'Brian, the "On The Road" star walked into a ready made joke, telling the host that she was never really a smoker, she "just wanted something in [her] mouth."

IDK, I really like the first movies. I don't like when movies/projects start really small and then get blown up into media machines. I'm happy Twilight because successful, but I wish it just stayed with that small town, average girl feel that was in the books, and only the first two movies captured that
(and the second one was pushing it). I like the other movies, but the tone just really changed. The ending of the BDP2 made all the series' imperfections worth it though.
