i've been listening to an obscene amount of streetlight manifesto lately. i feel like i'm back in high school/first two years of college.

NSFW make up reviews, feminist rants, and excessive use of the word "bullshit".

I finally got sick of Chefville... because two of my neighbors quit in a 24 hour period and it's like hey am I even enjoying this game... and I'm so not. And then the next day I discovered there was a Cityville 2 so I gave that a shot... and idk I'm already stuck on the quests because it's already asking for neighbor/friend related shit...

and ugggh

Facebook games have this honeymoon period where the fun of a new game outweighs the annoyance of all the shit that relies on "game cash" and inviting friends and requesting materials... but that period just seems to get shorter and shorter.
chasing_jen 17th-Nov-2012 01:31 am (UTC)
bb, go to the zynga site and play from there. i got sucked into stupid as hell castleville, and never had anyone to play with or help me with the quests. Now, I just play through the zynga site and there are TONS of other people playing, and your materials requests get posted and filled right away, without having to even post anything on Facebook.

IT'S AWESOME.
violue 17th-Nov-2012 01:43 am (UTC)
Ooo that's good to know, ty
flawlessglitch 17th-Nov-2012 01:48 am (UTC)
Do you use the exchange? I play Chefville and am seriously lacking friends for it but there's this site that you can put up the "post xyz to get xyz" things and people click it and it sends it to you. So you don't have to add random people you don't know but you still get through the quests.

I'm too in love with Chefville to stop. It's a problem.

I'm going through chemo right now and I feel so drained. I have a good support system (husband and my family) but I never thought I'd go through something like this at 24. I feel cut off from everything and have been avoiding a lot to cut my risk of getting sick. I don't really feel like I have people to talk to about what's going on either. Just getting that off my chest.
thetxbelle 17th-Nov-2012 12:46 am (UTC)
I have a good friend going through chemo right now as well and my heart goes out to anyone going through it. Tons of hugs and good vibes your way bb, I hope you make a full recovery! <3
_xemptyhanded 17th-Nov-2012 12:53 am (UTC)
Thank you, I truly appreciate it. :) Good luck with your friend!
lissalynn 17th-Nov-2012 12:48 am (UTC)
I'm so sorry you're going through that.

Would you be comfortable going to a support group? Are you getting counseling?

Have you looked at anything like this?: http://www.dana-farber.org/My-Dana-Farber/Dana-farber-cancerconnect.aspx

I don't know if it will be helpful or not but just an idea- you don't have to be a DF patient to join.
icallitwormlog 17th-Nov-2012 12:54 am (UTC)
I'm sorry =( I'll pray for you.
syzygy09 17th-Nov-2012 12:57 am (UTC)
Oh man.

Are there online support groups, perhaps? Or are those depressing? Cause I'm sure there are people dealing with exactly what you're going through.

That said, if you ever wanna talk -- feel free to message me. We can all use another friend, myself included. :)

Hang in there!

little_kitkat 17th-Nov-2012 06:28 pm (UTC)
I know I'm super, super late, but HUGS to you. We're here for support if you ever need to vent.

cammiec Thanksgiving for dummies17th-Nov-2012 12:28 am (UTC)
I have an early Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday (we can't make it on Thursday) and I've never been to a Thanksgiving dinner before lol born and raised in another country. What should I take? Ham? Some dessert? There will be six people, 4 don't eat wheat.
anus Re: Thanksgiving for dummies17th-Nov-2012 12:29 am (UTC)
Alcohol
cammiec Re: Thanksgiving for dummies17th-Nov-2012 12:32 am (UTC)
also, one person is pregnant and the other just had a baby last month lol
flawlessglitch Re: Thanksgiving for dummies17th-Nov-2012 01:54 am (UTC)
Whenever we go to one I always bring butternut squash casserole. It's AMAZING and I've never met anyone that doesn't like it. I can find you a link if you'd like. Otherwise...ummm...green bean casserole? mashed potatoes? Some kind of pie that doesn't have wheat in the crust?
hoodoo Re: Thanksgiving for dummies17th-Nov-2012 03:57 am (UTC)
ham is fine, usually a side dish will suffice. green bean casserole, sweet potatoes/yams, or even a salad if youre not sure.
williammiller 17th-Nov-2012 04:55 am (UTC)
You could take a dessert like a pie or cookies. Or you can make a green bean casserole or yams.
anus 17th-Nov-2012 12:28 am (UTC)
I hate that Apple makes the cheapest piece of shit computer chargers. I've been super careful with this one and it's already starting to fall apart x_x
