I think the question is whether it's just the Holocaust that is sacrosanct, or are all genocides or tragedies? I mean, what about movies about slavery, for example? I can see what he means about not wanting to humanize monsters like Hitler, but I think it's human nature to want to try and understand, even if there is no understanding.
