CBS Cancels Partners

CBS has axed Partners, the latest comedy from Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan that focused on the working partnership of one gay man and one heterosexual.

The comedy that starred Michael Urie and David Krumholtz has averaged a 2.4/6 in adults 18-49 and a mere 6.5 million viewers. It routinely ties for third in its time slot in the demo but comes in fourth in viewers.

Though those numbers are comparably low to some of CBS’ other comedies, Partners is certainly one of the highest-rated new show to be axed this season. (NBC’s Animal Practice was averaging a pitiful 1.5 rating while the CBS drama Made in Jersey went out only earning a 1.1 rating). Partners’ ratings are even better than Ben & Kate, which, despite averaging around a 1.8 rating this season, has received a back six order from Fox.

Yeah I read that Mindy Project might be canceled. I think it could have potential to be good if they let it grow.

FOX ordered a full season, though. Unless they go back on it like they did Tru Calling. FOX is to blame for postponing new episodes in favor of more X-Factor.

Mte, but I doubt Fox will cancel it. They have no good backups lined up in the mean time, anyways.
