Breaking Dawn: Part 2 Grabs $30.4 Million From Late Night Shows

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 took in an estimated $30.4 million from Thursday night and midnight shows in North America. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 still holds the midnight record with $43.5 million (which had 3D showings as well, thus jacking up ticket prices and the midnight gross).

Here's how the other Twilight films performed at midnight:

Breaking Dawn - Part 1: $30.3 million
Eclipse: $30 million
New Moon: $26.2 million

Boxoffice said on their twitter had BDP2 been in 3D, it would've broken HP's record so, food for thoughts

A bunch of people die in the fight (Carlisle for one gets decapitated) but it turns out it was all a vision of what could have happened.

That's lame. The whole "it was just a dream" idea is so stupid.

LMFAO omg I didn't think the ending could be less pathetic and anti-climactic. Congrats screenwriter

how is that even a twist? Like, if you watched the previews and read the books you could tell what was going to happen, lol.

spartacus 16th-Nov-2012 07:00 pm (UTC)
isn't that what happens in the book? The fight is a vision that Alice has but lol irl or w/e they just talk it out and everyone goes away.

I still don't understand how anyone fell for that. I mean, we all know that's how the book SHOULD HAVE GONE (i.e. actual fight) but it didn't and lol no fucking way was Meyer going to let anything really change. Good for the filmmakers for finding away around the shittastic book and attempting to make it somewhat interesting, but still.

Should have kept it as real. Would have made the movie worth it.
furato 17th-Nov-2012 05:04 am (UTC)
I'd illegally download the movie just for that.
