Carrie Fisher Confirms She's in Star Wars VII

According to the biggest Star Wars fansite, Theforce.net, Carrie Fisher has confirmed her involvement in the next Star Wars movie:

"I was at Carrie Fishers booksigning in Cherry Hill, NJ on November 15, and the interview she did started with the question 'Are you really going to be in a new star wars movie?' and Carrie answered quietly 'Yes....I thought it was already common knowledge.' She did not elaborate, as she probably doesn't want to crow too loudly at this point in the project development. But this is the first confirmation from one of the main OT Cast. LFL has not said the cast would return yet."



I wouldn't say it's confirmed FOR SURE until LFL makes the announcement, but if she's flat-out telling people she is... IDK. If she's in it, Mark Hamill definitely is. Hopefully Harrison Ford too. I'm cautiously optimistic about the new movie, but I can't deny that the thought of seeing Luke, Leia, and Han again makes me ridiculously happy. I never thought this would really happen.

I know. On one hand, I could totally see Carrie trolling the fans. On the other, I could totally see her spilling the beans when she wasn't supposed to. So, I am taking this with a grain of salt until confirmed!

This is all moving weirdly fast for a movie that's not supposed to come out for several more years.

Well, 2015 is really not that far away for a movie like this. In fact, a lot of people are afraid they won't have enough time to make it good. It should be filming next summer at the latest, so director, actors, writers really do need to be lined up soon. The prequels were filmed 2 years before their release dates.

This could be interesting. I mean, it's not like Leia aged the way anyone would have expected her to, lol. Idk how they'll all look.

I hope this is true, but maybe not as the main character? They could do with her what they did with Leonard Nemoy in Star Trek maybe?
Also, idgaf if Mark Hamill is in this, but if Carrie's in it than Harrison Ford best be as well.

Yeah, I most sincerely do not want Han, Luke, and/or Leia as main characters but as the Obi-Wan/mentor type role with minimal screentime. I want new people as the main characters.
