i really wanna like it, and there are a couple of standout tracks (diamonds, stay, no love allowed), but i really hate the production on the dancier tracks like right now and jump. oh well.

She doesn't necessarily write the songs herself, so it's pretty easy to just go in record vocals and pick songs for the album.

Of course its 2012 music. Blacks making CaC electro pop with shades of the house movement from '89-93.
Her style is formularic and always has been and if you like that, cool. But with her its been more about who produces her record rather her as an artist. And that's been known.

I don't pay attention to her because her voice is a big no for me but judging from the comments here, it is alright from the first listen but has the potential to grow on you....

That first rhyme scheme though... Whoever wrote that should never write again...
