Frank Ocean isn't a man of many words, unless they come pouring out in song, but that's what we love about him, right? The singer/songwriter hit GQ's Men of the Year party in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, where he managed to sum up his entire year in about seven words while walking the red carpet.

"It's a real peaceful but active year," he told MTV News. "So it's cool. I'm just excited to be here, thanks to GQ magazine."

Peaceful isn't exactly the word we would've used to describe Ocean's year, but he certainly knows better.

The 25-year-old surprised fans this summer when he opened up about his sexuality via Tumblr and then released his debut studio album, Channel Orange, landing at #2 on the charts in his first week and earning much critical acclaim. Since then, he's been busy, spending time in the studio with heavyweights like Jay-Z and Pharrell.

When asked about the overwhelming number of artists who want to work with him these days, he responded, "That's not a problem. It's not, like, a tragedy. It's cool, it's awesome, it just means people f--- with me, and that's cool."

Last month, Ocean posted a stream of random thoughts on his Tumblr page in the form of a letter. In it, he gave fans some insight into what he was thinking during his studio session with Jay and Skateboard P. "I sat in the studio days ago with Jiggaman and Pharrell. Pharrell looks 19. They seemed like old friends," he wrote. "I wonder how many trophies are logged in their mind. I wonder why they still build. I build things for the sport and the therapeutic benefits. For immortality biiiitch."
