She's obvs talented but her team sucks at promotion, she hasn't really adapted to this era of music that fits her and she comes off arrogant sometimes (when she said that she didn't even know if gaga was a man/woman, bionic was art and people just didn't get it, etc. etc)

I think she can still turn things around.

Lotus was just mediocre. maybe if it was promoted and Xtina was actually, sort of, likeable it would have done better. who knows?

i love her music but i do think it's because she's become unlikeable. in stripped and back to basics, she managed to be confident and cocky but it wasn't arrogant. that's changed lately. and i have to agree with the commenter that said part of it is her style, because if she seems like she doesn't care why would anyone else? and it's not even her weight, because you can wear weight well enough if you choose to, but she always looks like a hot mess with her clown make up.

Back to Basics was such a good album. Why doesn't she do more of that stuff?

Correct me if I am wrong? But back in the day, didn't she release a spanish album? Or, an album in Spanish? Whatever the right way to ask that is... didn't she? Am I imagining things? Just seems like that brilliant idea of hers has fallen off the map completely which says a lot.

Did it do well? I just remember thinking being in the record store (because we still had them back then, ugh, I'm so old) and being like "What the fuck? She speaks Spanish?!?!?"

I think that she should have established a clear sound first besides her voice before changing her style every album. She tried to go the Madonna route but I think that worked against her.

No tea No shade but as much as y'all hate on Christina...you expect a lot out of her. Unlike*calm yourselves* Britney. I am a fan of both but I will keep it real. We expect more from Christina. You accept bare minimum from Britney cuz at least it's something. We really know nothing of her....her fave color and drink. Very basic things. With Chris she always shared more of herself. We know more so we want her to do more. From Christina it isn't acceptable to not perform perfectly. If she went on stage and did nothing y'all would slay her. She'd never work again probably. You call her unlikeable for how she is on her show but accept Britney not really saying much more than 'awesome'. It's two different standards. I'm not saying either is right or wrong but we need to acknowledge that it is there.
