American Horror Story is getting a third season.

The FX horror anthology shock-fest will return for 13 more episodes next fall from executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

“With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” said FX president and general manager John Landgraf. “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

i LOVED last season more than I can even explain. Most of the criticism I heard on it I totally didn't agree with.

I figured I wouldn't love this season as much, and that was fine, but I almost hate watching it at this point. It's like the writers sat down and said "Let's make a list of the worst things that can happen to people and just show that over and over." Right now I'm basically only watching because Jessica Lange is walking flawlessness, and I love Kit/Evan Peters too. But all the disturbing events, one after the other, is too much. There's not enough story or entertainment behind everything to make it worth enduring all the horror.

yeah i think i agree with this. i wish the show was driven more by plot/story line, with some added gore or wahetever they feel the need to include, because now i feel its the other way around. although after last night maybe it is starting to get more complex and intricate
