American Horror Story is getting a third season.

The FX horror anthology shock-fest will return for 13 more episodes next fall from executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.

“With American Horror Story: Asylum, Ryan and Brad have raised the bar in every way from Murder House, the first American Horror Story miniseries,” said FX president and general manager John Landgraf. “And their original idea—the notion of doing an anthological series of miniseries with a repertory cast—has proven groundbreaking, wildly successful and will prove to be trendsetting. We can’t wait to see what deviously brilliant ideas they come up with for their third miniseries.”

She really is, but at least it's revived her career in the sense that younger people who maybe didn't know who she was now not only know of her, but love her.

It's sad to say this but at least it's good, I discovered her in 'Grey Gardens'.. fucking amazing!!

Sadly, I get the feeling she's not getting much work regardless. Such is the life of an aging actress in Hollywood. Probably just a project to keep her entertained in between actual substantial roles.

PLUSSSS - since she's like the main draw of the show, the writers are writing whatever the fuck she feels like playing each season so it's a pretty fun gig.

Maybe. But on the upside, she's won a bunch of awards for being on the show. And she's killing it this season, so I expect her to win more.

She probably gets paid well and all of the critical attention goes to her. I don't she minds too much.

Nothing can be worse than 1976 King Kong, anyway.

but she is wonderful on the show and it's sucessful and she winning many awards and getting a whole new younger fan base... so truthfully... I think it's a win/win for her and the show.

Why do you act like it's a terrible show... it's quite a well done show and she is the star.

Such a hyperbole. The story is over-the-top but the role themselves are established actors' wet dreams. They're the kind of roles that'd nail actors award because they get to play characters that are very removed from their normal self.
