ONTD Roundup

Also, I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT FOR THANKSGIVING. It's my favourite holiday for all the right reasons - food, family, and football.

What's your favourite turkey day staple, ONTD??

My mom's stuffing is amazing - she puts sausage in there - and I can and will seriously eat stuffing sandwiches for days afterwards.

We're such basic bitches at our house so the turkey is always my fav. I boycotted turkey for ten years after my grandpa died but then I was like "He'd want me to enjoy this turkey, stop being a fool."

fluorescentx 15th-Nov-2012 05:21 pm (UTC)

I don't care for Thanksgiving other than the food.
hershelwalker 15th-Nov-2012 05:23 pm (UTC)
I used to love thanksgiving but both sides of my family have become almost completely estranged in the last couple years so now it's no fun because we don't get together. the only thing I miss about having ~~~close families is the thanksgiving celebrations tbh.
sylarsexypants 15th-Nov-2012 05:23 pm (UTC)
canned cranberry sauce. Ocean Spray brand

i love cutting it along the ridges and just eating slices of it
muffledlaugh 15th-Nov-2012 05:27 pm (UTC)
hahaha omg! it's like a ~family tradition~ that the can of cranberry sauce is forgotten about every. single. year.

last year my mom put a reminder on her phone about it, and it was the first time in like 10 years we actually had cranberry sauce with the thanksgiving dinner
foureyedgirl 15th-Nov-2012 06:05 pm (UTC)

flowerssleeping 15th-Nov-2012 05:24 pm (UTC)

burn_a_miracle 15th-Nov-2012 05:24 pm (UTC)
Stuffing and pecan pie.
warsawed 15th-Nov-2012 05:26 pm (UTC)
My mom makes the best Rhubarb Crisp in the history of the world. That and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and I am the happiest.
trixielollipop 15th-Nov-2012 05:31 pm (UTC)
T-day is my favorite holiday, too. Not just because of the food, family and football- but it's one of the least commercialized holidays as well (especially if you don't buy boxed food and make from scratch like us).

My fave is probably the stuffing as well. We're doing a sausage and mushroom (medley) stuffing and it's fucking ace.
emologues 15th-Nov-2012 05:32 pm (UTC)
mashed potatoes!!!! and we have lasagna and like somali food every thanksgiving. its the best. and my mom makes the most bomb ass apple pie ugh so EXCITING
vehiclesshockme 15th-Nov-2012 05:33 pm (UTC)
I don't really care about Thanksgiving to be honest :-X

My aunt does make really good yam puffs though it's like... yams rolled into balls with like butter and marshmallow in the inside and then the yams are rolled in crunched up Frosted Flakes and then she bakes it and it's really good.
sillywalter 15th-Nov-2012 05:39 pm (UTC)
It's my fave holiday and I love candied yams, and cranberry sauce from the can!

Macaroni and turkey are p much the only two things I eat on Thanksgiving.
fight4thislove 15th-Nov-2012 06:12 pm (UTC)
My grandma is making her Butterfinger Cheesecake this year so uh yeah, I'll be eating that and that alone.
false_hate 15th-Nov-2012 06:44 pm (UTC)
My mother makes an amazing baked macaroni dish that I love to pig out on during the holidays. It is too rich and decadent to be a normal dinner staple.
yousaidlog 15th-Nov-2012 06:50 pm (UTC)
stuffing, cinnamon rolls for breakfast, the Rockettes, and LOLing at the dog show that comes on after the Macy's Day Parade.

My mom works her Haitian magic on this beet potato salad and I would destroy lives to have it everyday.
williammiller 15th-Nov-2012 09:23 pm (UTC)
I love stuffing (the kind that my mom bakes inside of the turkey)
