In a way that's actually really sad, like in "Dark Side of the Moon" when they get murdered and Dean just coldly says "when I come back, I'm gonna be pissed"--like, he doesn't even care about dying because he knows he'll be brought back, and yet that thought doesn't make him happy at all because everything sux--but writing-wise it's also a total cop-out. :P I dig the angels/God/Lucifer stuff a lot because I'm sort of a theology nerds, but as far as ~stakes go it was sort of a weird choice.
