Spending my day writing college app essays... I haven't even started and I'm stuck already ;_; Any advice, anyone?

So I was supposed to have an interview today, but I showed up and it was at a staffing agency and they wanted me to have 2 forms of ID on me, one of them being a passport, social security card, or my birth certificate. And then they talked to me like I was actually supposed to have that stuff on me on a daily basis. Um, no I keep that stuff filed away and only pull it out for necessary reasons. So, I ended up not interviewing because I didn't have anything other than my license. Seriously made me mad.

Did you know it was a staffing agency when you went there, or did you think it was for an actual position?

That was the most annoying part about job searching, imo - staffing agencies can be such sneaky bitches getting your hopes up about jobs and then you get there and they're like "oh, that position is no longer available". ugh.

I have no idea. Once they acted like I should just have that stuff on me, I left and was like, no I'm not doing that. They said they do an I9 before everything. I don't know if I was just being lazy or stupid, but I just wasn't comfortable after that.

If you knew it was a staffing agency, they do need that information to get you set up. However it sounds like you thought it was an interview, you don't take that info to an interview usually. It's super rare anyone "hires on the spot", wtf.

I tried to watch some videos today and the sound wouldn't work for the first few seconds...mind, these were 8 second videos, there could possibly be a longer delay?

youtube has been working funny for me for a while~! i play the video and there is no sound, but if i skip ahead there is sound and then i just reset it and the sound works again magically.

I have ONTD minimized while I should be working on my accounting seeing as I'm in Accounting class right but well - - I'm not too interested in the different types of depreciation.

the week from hell. my cat had an uti and spent two days at the ER and three different vets. he's now home on a special diet (which I think the vet was just trying to sell me, I really hope it actually works) with both his front paws shaved :( he's alone for eleven hours while I'm at school and work. hope I can find a break to go visit him. i just want to hold him right now.

We have these orange trees that we have shared with our neighbor for YEARS. Now the house is being rented (no neighbors yet) and those trees are technically part of their property. The new owner assumes they're our trees though so that's good.

Still, I have dreams that the new neighbors keep ripping out the trees. I've had the dream at least three times

my BFF has officially been elevated to "toxic" relationship at this point.

she just texted me last night that she was going to go ahead and 'hit' on her boss. her boss is thirty years older, married, kids etc. and she doesn't see the fucking problem with that. and she has a long term relationship with a dude she's like 'oh we're probably gonna get married, etc'.

i'm not here for this. apparently one of our mutual friend was able to finally fucking talk her down from being a total fucking loser trashy bitch. i'm so frustrated and disgusted and i'm worried that her bipolar meds aren't working because this seems so fucking manic...

i think my body hates me right now. i cannot get more than like 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night. it's like i have to completely wear myself out (by getting so little sleep 4-5 days in a row) to actually get that really good nights sleep. any tips or anything ONTD?
