True Blood Adds English Hunk to Season 6 Cast as Sookie's New Love Interest




Move over, Bill. And Eric. And Alcide. There’s a new man in Sookie’s life — and he’s putting down stakes in Bon Temps

True Blood has tapped English actor Rob Kazinsky (EastEnders) to join the Season 6 cast as a series regular, TVLine has learned.

Kazinsky — whose biggest TV credit stateside was an arc as a doctor on Brothers & Sisters — will play Ben, a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders. This marks True Blood‘s second major Season 6 hire.
This marks True Blood‘s second major Season 6 hire. As TVLine reported last month, acting vet Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) has also come on board in the series regular role of Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.

Ngl I'd like them to have Quinn ONLY if they got Vin Diesel to do it, so he can stretch those 3 acting muscles beyond the fast and furiousness. Other than that no. But I am here for anything that continuously cockblocks Alcide.

I swear there are so many British actors making it over the pond right now. I don't get it, is being British cool right now?

and why do half of them seem to be coming from the cesspit of 'acting talent' that is our soaps?

It legit amazes me how so many British actors have done so well in America (although lbr, a lot of them are very talented: Hugh Laurie, Damian Lewis, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Chris Cox)

I honestly think it's because a lot of them are trained actors who have actually studied. ofc there are loads of American actors as well, but when you look at True Blood, the main trio aren't even American: one is British, one is Swedish, and the main is Canadian born from a New Zealand stock.

I love counting how many British actors that have leading roles, but it's good because they've all be acting consistently over here so now they're out to make the big $$.

The Aussies are the same though, made their start in shitty soaps then advanced on.

this is one of those things i'm hoping will turn out really good for the series. the past few seasons have been so disappointing. Especially season four. (My favorite book was 4, so i had HIGH hopes).

I kind of like how they're going away from the origianal story, but I kind of wish they'd go somewhere in between.

Other than that, this guy is really cute.
