1D on the Today Show: Photos & Videos

Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan perform with their One Direction groupmates Zayn Malik and Liam Payne during their concert appearance on The Today Show on Tuesday (November 13) in New York City.

The boys brought out the largest crowd ever for the morning show to celebrate the release of their new album Take Me Home.

During their appearance, 1D announced that they have a 3D concert movie that will be released on August 30, 2013! The flick will be directed by Super Size Me documentary helmer Morgan Spurlock.

“I’m delighted we’re making this film and Morgan is the perfect person to give that access-all-areas, behind-the-scenes look into what it’s like to be One Direction today. What the band have achieved is incredible, they and their fans have made history around the world – this is for them,” Simon Cowell said in a statement.

They performed their songs “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Little Things,” and “Live While We’re Young” for the live broadcast and pre-taped performances of “One Thing,” “Moments,” and “Kiss You” to air during the show tomorrow.

Now we'll start seeing these guys try to date famous people to ~stay relevant pretty soon.

I remember saying that about Britney and then Christina.

Pop boy bands do seem to have less longevity than female pop stars though.

You're not wrong, I was a wishful thinking sort of youth of course.

This time around it seems like the guys in One Direction get more exposure individually tough. Remember when it was just like Justin/JC and then three other dudes in the back, they're somewhat evolving the boy band idea at least. Not saying they're going to be around forever by any means, lol.

i think they'll last tbh

so many people talk about them like they need to get all the success while they can but i don't see them going anywhere

American ones maybe, UK ones have a much longer career
bradentastic 13th-Nov-2012 07:56 pm (UTC)
they will probably only last as long as they're together. i dont see any of them going on to have successful solo careers beyond maybe harry. the rest seem too lazy/ reserved to be a solo artist.
