I had a discussion with my friend last night about the election in 2016. I really hope Hillary runs, and I think she will have a fair shot, but my friend thinks she's too old and has the negative image of a "bitch." What do you guys think? I love her, but do you think people would vote for a woman?

I've always loved Hillary. I think she has more support now than she did in 2008, and I think if she ran, she'd have a really good chance of winning. The NYT had a good article about this (don't have the link atm but it's recent).

Yeah, I kind of agree with your friend, but at the same time I doubt people ever really thought a black man with the middle name Hussein had much of a chance either tbh. I love Hillary (I actually voted for her in the 2008 primary) so I would love to see her run.

And speaking of the 2016 race, people have been mentioning the possibility of Jeb Bush running... America would actually have to lose their minds to elect another fucking Bush.

I personally love Hilary, but there are so many people who wouldn't be able to let go of their perception of her from the Clinton administration. Republicans HATED her, especially after the attempted health care reform debacle. I'd like to think that people could get over stuff that happened 20 years ago, but you can never go broke betting on the stupidity of the American people.

I think a lot of people like her but I also think it would drive the GOP crazy, and like someone above said, she'd get it worse than Obama.

she's a woman, they will drag her to hell and back
and make comments about her still being menopausal in spite of the fact that her menopause was probably at least a decade ago
women can't run the country, other countries won't respect or listen to a woman...I can imagine all the excuses now
women are too emotional
