James Franco enthusiastically denied a rumored romance between him and his "Spring Breakers" co-star Ashley Benson in a blog post for Huffington Post Entertainment in October. "I also hear that I’ve been dating Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Benson. Hot damn, am I a lucky guy," Franco wrote on Oct. 24, debunking rumors that linked him to the three actresses. "As for Gomez and Benson, those are Bieber’s girls and I wouldn’t dare tangle with the Biebs. I heard he wants to kick my ass. Yikes!"
But some people are just not letting go of the idea. The New York Post reports that Franco, 34, and Benson, 22, were looking very much like more than just friends when they attended a screening of the new James Bond flick, "Skyfall," in Hollywood late last week.
"They tried to stay incognito catching a late show together. But both James and Ashley fell asleep. They were woken up by theater staff at the end of the movie," a source for the publication said. Let's hope that the pair's Harmony Korine-directed comedy doesn't elicit a similarly snoozy reaction.

Hmmmm, what else? My first chapbook came out, Strongest of the Litter, but people seem to be more interested in who I'm dating than poetry. Oh yeah, I got nominated for a National Entertainment Journalism award for these HuffPost blogs, but no other outlet is going to run that story, right? Hahaha -- why would Gawker or the New York Post want to publicize that an actor/Yale doctoral candidate is nominated for an award for something that they are doing themselves? I'm pretty proud of it, but I can see why they must hate me.
