After all of his tireless begging and pleading, Kripke finally gets to use Led Zeppelin music. "Supernatural" fans must be pressed.

Does it get better after the 2nd episode? The girl (Charlie?) and her brother seriously ruin the show for me - not even Billy Burke can get me to watch it.

Not really.

Recently, the show has gotten better; but, that's because there are only a few episodes left before the show goes on hiatus until March

I have tried to watch last week's episode 4 times now and I get about 3 minutes further into the episode before I get bored. I just don't give a shit about any of these characters (except maybe the geeky bearded guy, but even he annoys me 70% of the time).

Now, if they recast Charlie, I'd probably consider watching again.

Now THAT would be a major upgrade! But no, they kill off Maggie, the most harmless (and possibly smartest) person on the show and somehow Charlie gets a pass? I call bullshit.

so, is the show good? i've got a bunch of eps waiting to be watched but that folder's getting pretty full and if it's not very good... i love this type of show however.

also wow kripke you only get zep music for this?

No, it's pretty bad.

The only intriguing portion of the show revolves around the mystery, "how did the lights go out?". However, you have to trudge through abysmal character development before portions of the mystery are revealed.

At this point, I watch the show with the extremely low expectations

I don't care, I love this show for what it is.

I'm not even mad nobody is watching though. Getting invested into shows that won't survive their first season is kind of what I do. I'm getting used to it. :(

I think it is interesting and well paced, we never go too long without some small reveal leading to the big one.

Honestly everything about the show is great: the production value, the actors, the plot.

The only thing lacking is character. Nobody is interesting, there is nobody to root for, to the point that I'm rooting for the bad guys at this point. Monroe is more interesting than 99% of the cast and he's barely in the show.

It's not an acting problem I don't think, I actually love the cast, it's the writing. Barely any development at all except for the sake of moving the plot along.

This show got really good. The main girl's eyes freak me out though and I don't care about her storyline with her brother at all. I think I tune in mainly for Billy Burke but the show is getting better.

Yes, and no.

The acting is pretty awful; but, I would blame the writing instead of the actors. The action is pretty decent; and, the premise is interesting. Right now, the show is falling short on execution

It is kind of in the same mess that Terra Nova ended up in. Interesting premise, bad execution, not enough dinosaurs, and too many whiny teenagers.

Though at least I have continued watching it longer than I did with Terra Nova.

Me, too! Partly because I've loved the actor that plays Monroe since he was a hottie bad boy doctor on ER with his hot Australian accent. I will watch anything he's in.

I haven't given up on it, I'm seen all the episodes so far.

I'm intrigued by the mystery so I'll probably continue to watch it.
