the new maps wouldn't bother me so much, except that here in Japan, the way they assign addresses are different than in the U.S.: it's not about where, say, your house is on a given road (for example, if it's "56 Example Road," you drive up that road and you have 46 Example Road, 48 Example Road, 50 Example Road...so it's easy to find houses). In Japan, it's according to when the house was built. So on a given road, the numbered address is completely random and unrelated to each other. So most businesses will post a little map to show where the building is, otherewise it's impossible to find.

the new maps system? Not only does it not recognize where big, important buildings are (a search for the shopping mall PARCO sent me to Palco, Kansas >:( ), most of the buildings aren't even LABELED. It's just a sea of little grey squares. Fucking useless.
