There was a fire in my building last night. We are ok. Some of our stuff got water damage and our carpets are pretty wet. Very long night. I need caffeine and/or sleep.

how's the weather for you guys? i am FREEZING COLD and it's not worth it at all because there is no snow yet.

I went NYC this weekend with my friend and her parents and it was so much fun!

We saw Newsies and A Christmas Story. Newsiest was fantastic as I thought it would be. A Christmas Story is probably the best show I've ever seen. I didn't stop laughing, the children are adorable, Ralphie is incredible and Dan Lauria (Dad from The Wonder Years) is the narrator. I really recommend them both.

We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Dallas BBQ and an Italian restaurant that I can't remember the name of but it was in the little food district right after Chinatown. It was so damn good.

We also went to the WTC Memorial and there are really no words to describe that. It was really well done and I can't wait to see it fully completed.

Everybody should be watching Me and Mr.Jones, it's my favorite new show this fall

This weekend was so boring but I got to catch up on The Vampire Diaries, even though everyone seems to hate this season, I'm like ~*give me more~*.

This weeks episode made me gasp and freak out all at once, whereas everyone else I saw talking about it was all "BLAH BORING".

this weekend was fun - traveled to Kyushu, Japan with my boyfriend for the first time - until I got the stomach flu and then did a grand tour of southwest Japan's service areas bathrooms.

It was pretty sad puking/shitting my guts out, and then shivering on the floor while happy Christmas instrumental music plays.

been there, done that! I suddenly had to puke real bad when we were about 5 minutes away from the apartment, and couldn't pull over, so I just heaved into a old plastic bag and held it until we got home :|

the driving is so bad in st. paul today! i had an appt downtown and normally it takes me 10 mins to get from downtown to work. today because of the ice and snow, it took an hour. it's like minnesotans forget how to drive in the winter when the first snow arrives. it happens every year!

I went into downtown Chicago yesterday and almost got blown over by a 50 mile an hour wind gust, good times.

The wind gust came out of nowhere, and everyone was struggling to stand up and I hand to hold onto a large stone sign. It was madness.

BEST WEEKEND EVER

i went on a date on saturday and he bought me dinenr and we went to see Skyfall and totally ended up making out in a hallway and got caught and then he bought be a Nutella empanada and the whole night was amazing

and then my step-dad made ribs for dinner yesterday

AND THEN I FOUND OUT FLOGGING MOLLY IS COMING BACK TO THE TRISTATE AREA IN FEBRUARY!!!! totally buying my tickets tomorrow if possible!!!

I hung out with a new guy last night. I met him at football. Get into football if you want to meet boys, I guess. obvs. god i'm so dumb today.

This has been piling up so I really am just going to spew it now.

I'm sick of my best friend bawling about her boyfriend and how much she hates him...even though he doesn't really do much wrong. Apparently all guys are assholes? Um? And yet she still talks about how they're going to get married and her future wedding, etc.

The only thing I take away from this is that I may be forever alone but at least I don't live in a world where I need the validation of someone else, so much so that I will stay in a relationship "until something better comes along.".

I'm so tired and she keeps talking to me about the guy I like and his gf. JUST STOP. I GET IT. Oh she doesn't think they'll make it though and then randomly asks me if she should hook up with him though. Did I mention JUST STOP!

Yeah, some people just desperately want to be in a relationship that they'll trick themselves into believing its good for them.
