I want to beat him with my Columbine by Dave Cullen book. Those poor kids who are involved in school shootings. I don't care if they were bullies. They don't deserve to get shot. Kick them in the balls or something. jfc. This shit annoys me. I'm really scared of school shootings. I would have nightmares when I was a teenager. I'm still scared of them even tho I haven't been in a school since 2006.

on the line of insensitive things... I was just thinking I do a lot of waitressing at South Asian weddings and often white people get invited and sometimes they were south asian dress like sarees and stuff. Would you say that is cultural appropriation and racist or not? I'm not sure, I feel like in this context they are at a south asian wedding so they are kind of celebrating that culture and 'fitting in'. I suppose rather than borrowing their culture.

would like to know what yall think

I feel like the actual South Asians at the wedding would speak up if it were a problem. Maybe they were encouraged to dress in things like saris?

i was under the impression that if someone of X culture invites you to wear X culture's dress, then it is fine. when my (white) friend stayed with friends of her family in ghana they had different outfits of african dress laid out on her bed for her to wear while she was there. i don't see how that could be considered insensitive or inappropriate.
