Variety reports that James McAvoy is in talks to star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in Bill Condon's WikiLeaks movie, replacing the previously rumored Joel Kinnaman (back to the drawing board, slash-fictionists). McAvoy is circling the part of Daniel Domscheit-Berg, Julian Assange's one-time right-hand man, who eventually grew wary of Assange's power hunger. You'd think after Atonement that McAvoy would've learned not to trust that handsome, winter-green-eyed devil.

our prince is going to come back to us <3
Parts of the long panel:
;)
and brianna manning better be at least mentioned (although she should be the focus), she's the real hero of wikileaks, and she's still imprisoned/being tortured every day.
The thing is, films like this thrive on conflict, which means it will probably revolve around Assange's issues. It's easy for Manning to be ignored - which was, of course, the whole point.
I couldn't give a fuck less about Assange, and the blind admiration I've seen of him (by people who consider themselves "progressive") is beyond disgusting.
There's a reason they can't find any substantial evidence to imprison him. He's wanted in Sweden for questioning.
