The less they write Klaus as a lovestruck school boy and the more they stick with him being a scheming villain who's one step ahead of everyone, the more compelling he is.

Klaus is such a whiner I can't help but not find him scary; I find him douchey, but not scary. I know I should since he's a fucking Original, but he's such a wuss. Weeping over being such a forever alone loser, not having any friends, just having underlings that are forced to hang out with him, and then angsting over his sad life. Him falling over himself over Caroline is just the pathetic cherry on the loser sundae that is his existence tbh.
And I don't know if there's any kind of point to my rambling, so I'll stop now. Also in my icon he's supposed to have wolf ears but they look like bunny ears to me which is even better.

I hate that all these guys have to have hearts of fucking gold and these super sob story backgrounds while Caroline and Bonnie have gone through hell and are treated like, "well, Caroline is simply toooo good at being a vampire. it's easy for her" (which, yeah, having your mother initially hate you and your father torture is totes easy peasy) and generally villainised by the majority of fandom (Bonnie deserves so much better than these dickwads but whatev).
And Rebeccah. Who's generally just relegated to spending time in a box whenever the writers feel like she may be becoming too sympathetic a character.
Also, they look like cat ears. He's missing those annoying whiskers that everyone was putting on their icons for awhile. I wanted to burn them all in a fire, but it's oddly fitting for Klaus.

also, I'm liking jeremy becoming a hunter/getting the beginnings of a tattoo. Will be interesting to see him progress to killing vamps and the map spreading. also, totally obvious that matt and jeremy are going to team up as the only humans and have some kind of bromance.

trevino's not a very good actor either. love phoebe tho, so, I'll tolerate this teaching other hybrids to break the sire bond storyline even though it's a bit of a yawn.
could not give less of a shit about elena's bullshit hallucinations or her little fucking temper tantrum when she was digging that grave. nina's hot but she's not a good actress and vamp!elena is even more insufferable than human elena. the only time I liked her is when she kicked conor's ass and snapped his neck.
I love Elena, but even I'm getting tired of the whining. I cannot wait for her to turn off her humanity and go a little crazy for a while. Hoping that will happen!

i feel like dynamics between certain characters on this show can be soooo great like Katherine/stefan/Damon, stefan and Damon's relationship yet all they do is focus on elena whining and how everything effects her. If this wasn't a CW show with CW writers it could really be something interesting
Yes! The actors always joke about the relationship between Damon & Stefan but the show would be 10 times better if they focused on these two bonding as brothers. The whole Elena thing has played out at this point.
yep and the only reason they even paid attention to elena was because she looked like katherine! lmao i feel like thats why they still put up with her O_o she's the version of katherine who won't entirely reject them
