I love how it's just generally accepted fact that Barb is the best part of this show. I can't even blame her for being crazy as fuck. If Janelle was my kid, I would have lost my shit a long time ago.
It must suck being in your late 50s (I guess that's her age?) and then having to raise your grandchild because the mother is a hot mess, but jenelle hid the pregnancy from her and it was set in her mind that she wanted to keep Jace.
Isn't Juh-nell's older sister a screw up too? I think I read she has a sister in prison. If both your kids are a mess, I feel like it's probably your fault to a degree. I just think Barb is an emotionally abusive mother. I'd probably turn out that way under her care too.
I wish we had more of a view of Jenelle's life pre-pregnancy. I'm curious as to her dynamic with her mom before this all happened. If Barb has always been exactly this way, then I can see your point. But if it's recent, I would bethe same way if she were my kid. She's given her a thousand chances and Jenelle is just such a fucking idiot. If Barb was easy on her, she'd probably be worse. If possible.

I guess so. I mean like my mom was the same, never spoke to me except for screaming, I paid for my own groceries/bills/car/school from when I was 15 on.....and I'm not a drug addict. So I think they probably both egg each other on, you know? Like they both exaggerate the already bad parts of the other person.
Yeah i agree, Janelle is somewhat a product of her mom. Also Barb continually kicks her out, lets her back in, and it seems like she probably never knew how to discipline her or communicate good behavior, idk.
