A court has ruled that Halle Berry cannot move to France with her daughter on a permanent basis.
The actress, who is currently fighting with 4-year-old Nahla's father Gabriel Aubry over custody arrangements, was told yesterday (November 9) that she will not be allowed to involve her child in plans to relocate to Paris to live with fiancé Olivier Martinez.
According to TMZ, Berry had argued that the large paparazzi presence in LA made California too dangerous a place to bring up her daughter.
The Cloud Atlas star claimed that a life in France would be safer for all those involved and insisted that she never intended to block Aubry's access to his child.
However, the judge rejected her pleas and ruled in favor of the French-Canadian male model.
Last week, Berry told The Wendy Williams Show that her daughter is keen to have a baby sister.
"She's asking me every day," Berry said. "Every night we do our prayers - we pray to God, so sweet - and she says, 'God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister'."

nobody needs a father, plenty of people grow up with one mother, or two mothers, and are fine.
it's hard... I like seeing the courts start to side with fathers, because I feel a lot of good fathers out there get trampled on and fucked in the child support/divorce situations
but at the same time, it is hard to watch the mom go through such agony for not being with her kids.
***I do not know all the details of the gossip girl ladies story, so I am not sure if the judge had a good reason or not to give the custody to father.

you don't wanna look crazy.
keep calm and don't worry. I'd try once more over a third medium ie email or phone call, and if that yields nothing i'd move on.
edit: nevermind lol i'm glad he texted you!

Actually the restraining order against him was thrown out because of lack of evidence.

but alienating her from her father isn't the way to go.
She's seemed like she was punishing him from the get-go, imo.
I don't know anything about this situation, so I'm not taking sides. In general, it's sad when parents let their own bullshit damage their children.
When you decide to have children, those kids are your responsibility, along with the person you had that child with. They're your number one priority, not some idiotic revenge scheme/your unwillingness to be around your ex. Get over it.

sry i don't believe any of you actually gaf about a stranger kid
and I'm in this post because I have the flu on my couch, on a saturday afternoon and nothing else to do. I'm really not interested in some "Stranger kid" so yeah, you are right about that one. it's sad though she has to go through such juvenile bullshit from her parents.

lol really tho... these parts of ur comments & this over defensive response lead me 2 believe otherwise
And I feel the same way about my friend. She met this guy online and they've been in an online relationship and have only met twice. Now they're getting married in 4 months and she's moving her 2 kids from the US to England away from their father. The father is against it but he doesn't have custody. I feel if both parents want to be in the kid's life then they should make it work for the sake of the kid.
