Harry Styles: "I would never risk not wearing a condom."

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

He is a bona fide heartthrob with all the female attention any young man could want.
But Harry Styles has revealed that he was not always that confident or experienced with women.
The One Direction star has revealed how after the first time he had sex he was terrified he may have gotten the girl pregnant.

Speaking to OK! magazine, he said: 'The first time I had sex, I was scared I got the girl pregnant.'
'And that was despite the fact we were safe. Luckily, we were fine.
'
Harry, 18, has built up a reputation as quite a womanizer but despite the many rumours he admitted that he always practices safe sex.

He told the magazine: 'I would never risk not wearing a condom, it’s too much of a risk. If you’re not ready for a child, then don’t risk it.'
Although he is adamant he does not only date older women, he would happily be in a relationship with someone up to the age of 44, which is exactly how old his mother is.

omg this is so fucking great hearing from a young popstar like him to be advocating safe sex. I am really happy he said this he's setting a great example tbh

i was scared after my bf fingered me for the first time bc he had precum on one of his fingers, i went and got plan b the next morning (with the pharmcy woman judging the hell out of me, wtf) idec

lmao

I've only had to get plan b twice, but it's so awkward. I hate that they insist on reading you all the directions in front of everyone. Like, plz, do me a favor and tell me while we're walking down an aisle. Or just give em a damn paper.

i hear you can only take it twice ever in your life??

i've taken it twice, but i doubt i was really at risk both those times
whitegirlmob 10th-Nov-2012 05:32 am (UTC)
Oh really? I have a friend who's in serious trouble then.

Goes to show that I rly don't listen to the pharmacists and am just looking around until they shut up. And ya, I don't think I was either. I only took it the second time to calm his paranoia.

i don't think that's true
daydream11 10th-Nov-2012 05:52 am (UTC)
It's not.

It's basically like a high dose of birth control pills (but not as effective as taking the pill regularly). You can take it as much as you need to.
winter_lace 10th-Nov-2012 06:19 am (UTC)
I vaguely remember the pharmacist telling me it's not recommended to take it more than three times in a year.

Or something.

It was a long time ago.
skeletwin 10th-Nov-2012 06:44 am (UTC)
that's not true but they are rly bad for you if you have to take them often, like i'm pretty sure they cause cancer if taken in excess
sakuya_baby 10th-Nov-2012 07:11 am (UTC)
Actually, that's untrue. Emergency birth control pills, such as Plan B contain the same hormones as regular birth control (oral contraceptives), only a much higher amount and are similar to those your body produces. So the only way you can actually be malaffected by the repeated use of these is if you use them more than once within the same cycle period, wherein it can cause spotting and affect your cycle. Otherwise, no studies have shown that it is harmful, or may only be taken twice in your life.

Lol my friend basically takes it every time she has sex. Here's hoping she's fine!
testdrivegirl 11th-Nov-2012 04:47 am (UTC)
lol that's not true. the most ridiculous fucking rumors always surround birth control
rhapsodeeinblue 10th-Nov-2012 06:45 am (UTC)
Wait, they made you read the directions? Where was this? (I also took it twice and both times I got it at like a Walgreens and it was nbd.)
whitegirlmob 10th-Nov-2012 06:47 am (UTC)
They read it to me. It was like a rehearsed speech of all the steps to take and all the possible side effects.

I srsly never get embarrassed (ideky this embarrasses me), but those two times were way too much for me to handle. If there's ever a next time, I'm gonna get someone to go in for me.
dannysstargirl 11th-Nov-2012 11:15 pm (UTC)
What? I was a pharmacy tech at CVS and we never had to read the directions to people. Lord, I'd be embarrassed too, and I wasn't the one buying it.
