Republican Joe Scarborough and Democrat Mika Brzezinski visit The View

Oh Joe, you're still clueless as ever. I don't know why MSNBC keeps you and Michael Steele around

in terms of tone, partisanship, and telling viewers what they want to hear?

yeah, it's about as bad as fox news as far as I can tell... I both find them utterly unwatchable for more than a few minutes, though, so maybe I'm missing something.

explain?

from my perspective, the primetime hosts of both Fox News and MSNBC feed their audience a partisan perspective to reinforce their own political views. they both tend to be dismissive of the other side and more interested in scoring points than presenting news (hell, on election day, during the 5 minutes I flicked from CNN to MSNBC, Chris Matthews went on a rant about how all third party voters are idiots... not exactly quality news coverage there)

you have no idea what you're talking about. especially because you've included queen maddow in this.

I apologize... clearly, MSNBC has no partisan agenda and provides great objective news coverage. their hosts are absolutely more interested in reporting on news stories than repeating talking points issued by the DNC.

lol you don't get to be sarcastic when you just praised morning joe. most of the more well-known/respected pundits don't do that, actually. cenk uygur who used to host one of their shows but decided to go back to the internet where he's less monitored (and current tv) can attest to that. and if you've ever watched rachel maddow, she calls the obama administration out on their bullshit all the time -- unless you think rooting for gender equality, LGBT equality and peace in the middle east is a ~partisan agenda.

I'll legit apologize if I'm wrong about Maddow, I can't make it past her snark to watch her for more than a couple minutes (but that's just me, I'd feel the same way about anyone using snark to cover any news story other than celebrity/gossip-y stuff).

she's done a huge segment criticizing the war in afghanistan and obama's drones recently, just right before the election campaigns (which of course has been priority. she's obviously a liberal and therefore has a liberal bias, but she does not do her show on behalf of the DNC or their talking points -- which she has criticized Fox for doing. you can disagree with her, but all stories and arguments are sound.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrKKkGl3TnY - this is a video of cenk uygur, who left msnbc. he basically hints that washington does influence netowrk to a certain extent and that's why he left, but says rachel is the real deal. (towards the end.)

oh and rachel has said numerous times she wished the right had more feasible ideas to compete with the left's because that's the only way this country will evolve. right now, with only liberals being progressive and having to compromise to the extreme and out-of-touch right wing, it doesn't do anyone good. we're either complacent/stagnant or going backward.
