They really dropped the ball with her after Selfless. There was so much potential for amazing character development and they were just like "lol no more inspirational speeches." At least she didn't completely forgive Buffy for being totally hypocritical and trying to kill her.
There are tragically few Anya fics out there. I read a really good one recently and then it stopped and I realized it hadn't been updated for a year FMLLLLLL. IMO she was one of the most interesting characters in the Buffyverse and they underused her for most of her time on the show.
